or MAYBE the English took the photos while on holiday in Europe of other nationalities for curiosity purposes(back to the German fashion Faux Pas again) OR the pics were of Germans (and possibly Swiss I have to concede...) holidaying in the UK. Much more likely if you ask me. : )

As for the Americans, if I were German, I wouldn't want to be painted with the same fashion brush as them. Very nasty business indeed (I keep thinking Gold Lame jackets and matching shoes on a cruise ship - aarrghh the nightmares!).

And as we know the Germans will never give the sock/sandal tradition up - far too practical to be fashionable - perhaps they could take a leaf out of the VERY fashionable Americans book and wear gold lame socks - now THERE'S a fashion statement!!!!!

Stereotypes are BAD!
Don't believe them!
However, this clearly shows that germans are actually no longer wearing socks and sandels, rather the english and americans. What bad taste!

Those english and americans always wear socks and sandels.......we all know that stereotype.....

There's definitely no accounting for bad taste. And that guy on the couch with his cat and his man friend should know better - must be a closet heterosexual. There's a reason why the show was called "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy'. They know better.
